Intensive grammar course intended to immerse students in the French language and culture and provide a “jump start” for the semester of study in Paris . The course will be held in tandem with afternoon excursions to various locations in the city.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The three-week practicum will include daily class sessions that meet from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon , Monday through Thursday. It will also consist of afternoon excursions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Provide you with an intense review of grammar and vocabulary in French.
  • Introduce you to new grammatical concepts as well as terms and phrases that will be particularly useful to you in everyday life in France.
  • Familiarize you with different sections of Paris, including monuments, museums, and quartiers that you are not likely to visit as a tourist. The biweekly afternoon excursions will give you an opportunity to become acquainted with the city, its transportation system, and various aspects of its history and current make-up.
