The program begins with a 12-day introductory French language and culture component (the Language Practicum) to introduce students to Paris, the academic resources of the city, and the practical use of French. The course meets Monday-Friday, 9-12, with scheduled excursions on some afternoons. This course earns 4.5 UC quarter units of credit.
